You Just Might Be a Geek

Well, I am totally stealing Jeff Foxworthy's "You might be a redneck" and replacing it with "you just might be a geek". This is a combination of thoughts that I will ramble off to sum up and help define those who are geeks but don't quite realize it yet. . .


If you hear the word Pie, and think of a number. . .you just might be a geek.

If you know pi to more that 5 digits (3.14159265). . .you just might be a geek.

If your online friends outnumber your irl (in real life) friends by a 5:1 margin. . .You just might be a geek

If a +65str +54int dagger gives you a chubby. . . you just might be a geek

If you have ever called into work because you were up the entire night trying to kill the last boss in SSC. . . you just might be a geek

If you understand what this says 1337. . .you just might be a geek

If you replace the letter s with the letter z often. . .you just might be a geek

If you camp out of a movie theater a week before opening night. . .you just might be a geek

If you not only are a member of Twitter/Facebook/Myspace/Yelp/flickr etc, but also have looked into the source code. . . you just might be a geek

If you can not only run linux, but install it and modify the code. . .you just might be a geek

If you look at a naked woman, and see the Fibonacci sequence in the ratio of the length from her breasts to her shoulders, to the distance between her breasts. . .you just might be a geek

If no "Warranty Removed if Seal is Broken" is safe in your presence. . .you just might be a geek.

If you look at the letters AYBABTO and laugh. . .you just might be a geek.


And yea, just in case you didn't know, I qualify for about 50% of the list :p
