Jindal Bells, Batman Smells, The GOP laid an egg

In the terms of OMG! and again, a OMFG are you serious, the GOP has been caught at their charade again. I assume people took the time and watched Billy Jindal's speech about how more government was bad and how the administration of bigger government stopped a rescue boat from going out during Hurricane Katrina? Well, apparently it was a complete and boldfaced lie. Yep, he was never there, and there is no evidence the conversation ever happened because the person on the phone is of course dead.

It turns out that Jindal was never in an area where a rescue could have been happening. This much was admitted by team Jindal, who still tried to talk their way out of it. The one to break this was TPM, or talking points memo. They decided to check up on the anecdotal story after receiving no clarification from Jindal's office for corroboration on the story. It turns out, he was not in fact there until days after the storm passed and rescue operations were over.

You can read about everything over at TPM's site, here is the link.
